Our setting is appropriate for individuals who are recovering from surgery or illness, require concentrated rehabilitation or need ongoing long-term nursing care. Skilled nursing care at Classic Residence by Hyatt features a unique residential ambiance enhanced by wall-to-wall carpeting and mini-blind window treatments. Of course, residents are encouraged to bring their own furnishings and decorations to make their space feel homelike and familiar. Skilled nursing care suites include:

• Private and some semiprivate accommodations
• Private baths featuring easy-access showers with assist bars
• Staff response system
• Individual climate control
• Basic cable television
• Telephone with local service

Community areas such as the elegant club-style dining room, fitness therapy room, living room, card and activity room and other intimate spaces encourage interaction and a sense of community.

Skilled nursing care at Classic Residence by Hyatt is compassionate and proactive—around the clock. Our exceptional skilled nursing program includes:

• Initial assessment and an individualized interdisciplinary care plan with periodic updates 
• Medical orders and treatment plan carried out by licensed nurses
• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Medication administering and monitoring
• Reminders about activities

Staff devoted to residents’ well-being.

Skilled nursing is led by an experienced team that includes a nursing home administrator licensed by the state and a director of nursing who is a registered nurse (RN), along with a medical director who provides clinical leadership. The care planning coordinator also is an RN. In addition, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants staff the skilled nursing program 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The skilled nursing team also includes:

• A certified activities coordinator
• A social worker
• A nutrition services manager with consulting dietitian
• Dining room servers
• Outreach and admissions coordinators

Each member of the skilled nursing team is oriented to his or her role and receives additional training every year specific to the needs of older adults.

• A multidisciplinary care team that meets regularly to review each resident’s needs and health-promotion goals
• Skilled nursing care services based on the individualized care plan for each resident
• Medication administration and instruction
• Social services and case management
• An activities program tailored to the individual abilities and needs of each resident and directed by a certified activities coordinator
• Daily light housekeeping, including bed making
• Laundering of towels and bed linens as needed
• Three delicious meals prepared each day under the supervision of classically trained executive chefs
• Therapeutic diets accommodated in skilled nursing by a nutrition services manager under the supervision of a registered dietitian
• Snacks available throughout the day

Resident care is our top priority. To make sure our skilled nursing team has the best tools to provide the best possible care, Classic Residence by Hyatt utilizes a Web-based clinical documentation system called Matrix from Achieve Healthcare Technologies. Matrix provides a new and more convenient way for our staff to enter and maintain medical information and for authorized practitioners to access residents’ information—one that ensures we meet residents’ needs while increasing accuracy and efficiency.

Our skilled nursing staff uses this intuitive software to develop each resident-specific plan of care, as well as to manage significant health changes more effectively.
