Meet Ginny Lowery.

My husband and I left the home of our dreams at Scottsdale Ranch and moved to our new home at Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies more than six years ago; we’ve never looked back! Time has flown because we have stayed so busy. The camaraderie is great.

A day in the life of Ginny Lowery.

I work out in one of the exercise classes three times a week. These exercises are designed to help improve balance and strength. I also walk the perimeter of the grounds (three times around takes an hour). In the summer, though, I usually use the treadmill.

I enjoy playing bridge and working on various committees, but my favorite activity at Classic Residence by Hyatt is eating lunch, dinner or brunch prepared under the direction of Executive Chef Manny Ramos. My daughter, Joyce, says that “dining here is like dining on a fine cruise ship.”

Our monthly “Mix and Mingle” parties are held so the newcomers to Classic Residence by Hyatt and residents like me can meet and make new friends. I’m on the Hospitality Committee, so as you can imagine I always look forward to this event.

Four of us joined one of our neighbors for dinner in her apartment last week. It was a fun evening, and we all enjoyed the companionship. I’ve also hosted groups in my home for Mexican train dominoes or double nines, which is also fun.

I enjoy my patio every day. I love the flowers; they are blooming beautifully. While sitting on my cushy patio this week, I saw 22 baby quail, the mother and father Gambel quails, and two baby rabbits playing and chewing on grass. They know they are in a friendly environment and do not scamper away too rapidly. I also see hummingbirds, doves and more.
