Classic Residence by Hyatt Receives Highest Honors at National Association of Home Builders Best of Seniors' Housing Awards

Classic Residence by Hyatt Accepts Platinum and Gold Awards for Community in Aventura, Fla. and Two Gold Awards for the Highlands Ranch, Colo. Community

CHICAGO, IL, JANUARY 31, 2005

Classic Residence by Hyatt was honored with a Platinum and three Gold Awards at this year's National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) 2005 International Builders Show. The NAHB Seniors' Housing Council awards program, now in its 14th year, recognized Classic Residence by Hyatt's architectural and interior designs for bringing quality, innovation and spirit to the seniors' housing industry. In a newly created category, NAHB also acknowledged Classic Residence by Hyatt's marketing materials for excellence. 

The panel presented Classic Residence by Hyatt in Aventura with a Platinum Design Award for Continuing Care Retirement Community Exterior Design and a Gold Design Award for Continuing Care Retirement Community Interior Design. Classic Residence by Hyatt in Highlands Ranch received the Gold Design Award for Continuing Care Retirement Community "On The Boards" and a Gold Marketing Award for its brochure.

The jurors said of Classic Residence by Hyatt in Highlands Ranch: "Very dramatic exterior skillfully nestles into the topography and integrates well into the landscape. The architecture is very evocative of its regional setting. Common spaces are skillfully oriented toward the best views. All units provide expansive living and dining spaces."

Classic Residence by Hyatt in Aventura inspired jurors to note: "This is an extremely successful high-rise senior living community with common spaces creating a unified base between two dramatic towers. It is a great example of high-density, vertical living in a resort-like setting. Very high quality and sumptuous use of materials. Public spaces are an extension of the residents' homes."

"The layout of the brochure is very clean and easy to read. The Compare the Value insert is very effective," commented judges on the Classic Residence by Hyatt in Highlands Ranch brochure.
