Every day when I come to work I know that I will have the opportunity to be of service and to make a difference in a resident's life.
 

A day in the life of Lance Millington.

5:00 a.m. I wake up, many times to the sound of the sea lions right next door at Fisherman’s Wharf. While having a cup of coffee I listen to the morning news and watch the sun come up over the bay.

After putting the daily schedule of medical appointments together, I check with the Concierge to see if there are any post office needs and the Bookkeeper to see if there are banking errands.

9:00 a.m. I begin to take the residents to their doctor and dental appointments in the Lincoln Town Car. We also take them on group shopping trips to various locations on the Peninsula four days a week and on a tour or activity every Friday afternoon. Friday mornings are reserved for cleaning and maintenance of the vehicles.

 

When my workday ends, and on weekends, I usually spend my time relaxing, reading, sea kayaking, or riding my 35-year-old BMW motorcycle, which I restored over a two-year period. I enjoy taking trips up or down the coast of this beautiful part of the country in which I am so fortunate to live.
