10:00 a.m.: I catch up on the news of the day at our daily “Current Events” discussion group or by reading the daily newspaper provided in the library.

11:00 a.m.: You might find me taking part in the “Stretch and Flex” class or taking a stroll around the beautiful Classic Residence by Hyatt grounds.

12:00 noon: For lunch I go to either the dining room or the café.

1:30 p.m.: It’s usually game time. Depending on the day, I can play cards, blackjack, Yhatzee or PO.KE.NO.

2:30 p.m.: We often have craft or horticulture classes to attend, but most of the time I make my way to the Classic Residence by Hyatt library to enjoy a relaxing hour or two of reading.

3:30 p.m.: There is usually a special lecture on health or some other topic of interest. We also have a choice of golf putting on our new putting green, participating in flower arranging or knitting club, or viewing an educational video.

6:00 p.m.: Dinner is served.

7:30 p.m.: I can e-mail friends and family in the computer center before going to the evening activity or entertainment.

8:00 p.m.: It’s show time! Classic Residence in Hollywood offers residents three or four live acts a week. Pianists, singers, comedians and variety acts all appear right here in our very own home! On the nights when there isn’t a musical performance, we usually have a book reviewer or a current events speaker. We also have great movie nights, where we see a mix of new films plus the classic movies we all love and remember.

9:30 p.m.: Some folks stay up and socialize, but I usually go to my apartment and plan my next day. It’s great to have so many choices and to live in such a caring and warm community. The staff is wonderful, and my fellow neighbors are always good for a laugh and to enjoy my life with.
