CHICAGO, IL, FEBRUARY 20, 2006Classic Residence by Hyatt today announced the launch of its new Web site at http://www.hyattclassic.com. The redesigned site presents helpful information to visitors who are researching available senior living options. In addition, the user-friendly site features beautiful photography that showcases the unique design of each Classic Residence by Hyatt community and replicates the Classic Residence by Hyatt experience. Enhancements to the site also include residence floor plans and sample menus that highlight Classic Residence by Hyatts commitment to culinary excellence, along with more information about each communitys services, amenities, programs and care options.
The number of older adults using the Internet for research is increasing. Over 13 million U.S. adults over the age of 50 have Internet access, and this number is growing rapidly according to a study conducted by SeniorNet and Charles Schwab Inc. Of the older adults who access the Internet, 59 percent use it to research an issue of interest. Forty percent said that using the Internet helped them to make better investment decisions, such as when to sell their home. As a result, Classic Residence by Hyatt redesigned its site with the older adult top of mind.
"We designed the new Web site as a way for older adults and their families to explore senior living options and to learn more about lifestyle possibilities at a luxury senior living community," said President of Classic Residence by Hyatt, Randy Richardson. "Features such as text enlargement, enhanced photography, and explanations of the different types of communities available will help make each visitors online experience informative and enjoyable."
