Nearly 20 years ago, Chairman and CEO Penny Pritzker founded Classic Residence by Hyatt. Her vision was to build luxury senior living communities where older adults could enjoy beautifully designed homes complemented by distinctive amenities and services. Most importantly, residents could make new friends and pursue their interests with the peace of mind of knowing that assisted living and a continuum of care would be available, should the need arise.
Part of this vision is our commitment to the residents who call our luxury senior living communities home. Today, Classic Residence by Hyatt is a national leader in luxury senior living, and we remain committed to developing and operating retirement communities that cater to the aspirations of discerning residents. For example, we engage residents and invite them to participate in our "Resident Satisfaction Survey." With this useful feedback, we are able to provide residents with the quality of services, amenities and care that they desire and deserve.
In addition, Classic Residence by Hyatt understands that older adults' needs are different today than even 10 years ago. That is why we constantly evaluate and refresh the services and amenities at each of our senior living communities. And that is why you will find so many of our residents trying tai chi or yoga, tracking investments online, e-mailing digital photos to their families and participating in our broad array of exciting programs.
From each retirement community's executive director to its executive chef, from the director of assisted living to the maintenance team, from the friendly concierge staff to the helpful housekeepers, each of us respects the fact that we work in the homes of our residents.
