Classic Residence by Hyatt Appoints Chet Phillips Vice President of Information Technology and Greg Bruns Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management
National Leader in Luxury Senior Living Adds Experienced Professionals to Operations Team
CHICAGO, IL, JULY 05, 2005Classic Residence by Hyatt, a national leader in luxury senior living, recently appointed Chet Phillips as vice president of information technology and Greg Bruns as assistant vice president of facilities management.
Chet Phillips assumes his new position with extensive experience in information technology. Prior to joining Classic Residence by Hyatt, Phillips held several positions during a 20-year career with Motorola Inc. Most recently he was responsible for managing the consolidation of several financial systems and overseeing the implementation of the first global data warehouse for Motorola. After his time at Motorola, Phillips founded a consulting company specializing in business intelligence strategies for medium and large firms, and he is a frequent speaker on the topic. Phillips earned his bachelor of science degree in computer science from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill. and currently resides in St. Charles, Ill.
As vice president of information technology for Classic Residence by Hyatt, Phillips oversees key projects that include the evaluation of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environment as well as a review of the company's original five-year strategic plan for information systems and a redevelopment of the Classic Residence by Hyatt Web site. He is responsible for overall management of the company's technology infrastructure and information systems department.
Greg Bruns comes to Classic Residence by Hyatt with nine years of experience as manager of engineering at Loyola University Medical Center, a 530-bed hospital and medical school in Maywood, Ill. He also served as a senior engineer at several engineering firms where he managed design teams and client relationships. Bruns has a bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University, is a professional engineer (PE), and carries a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation.
As assistant vice president of facilities management, Bruns is developing new systems to manage ongoing capital projects and enhance strategic planning for the physical assets of each Classic Residence by Hyatt community. He is also responsible for completing long-term capital projects forecasting and developing a plan for optimizing the workload and results of the facilities management department. Originally from Wilmette, Ill., Greg now lives in Chicago.
